This Columbus, Ohio based construction industry company, has multiple offices in Ohio, Louisiana, Indiana and Florida.
The company specializes in historic restoration; but their website was primarily devoted to slate roofing. This gave visitors the impression that the company mainly did roofing. This false impression often resulted in the company not being invited to bid on jobs. Because the company does do a lot of slate roofing work, the existing site was kept, while Fast Forward built a separate, second web site to feature their historical restoration work.
Their new site makes a lasting impression on visitors, not only because of the classy and appropriate look, but because of the way it features the company’s stunning work, from the large Flash slide show on their home page, to dozens of portfolio pages.
The new website contains page after page of information on the many construction trades the company is expert at, including recreating many authentic techniques used in restoring buildings over 100 years old.
Their new web site contains many testimonials, from Historical Societies and church dioceses, the Foundation that manages a Frank Lloyd Wright house, etc. These testimonials demonstrate the respect that the company has earned in the historic restoration and preservation world.
Not only did this web site redesign project completely resolve the company’s branding issues, but Internet leads increased by 700 percent. One year after launch, traffic to the new website had risen to approximately half of the company’s original website (whose traffic also increased). This was a direct consequence of the new website’s construction with search engines like Google in mind.
This site has now achieved top national rankings for key search terms such as being #1 on Google for “historic restoration.” And on local searches Durable is the #1 search result on Google for “historic restoration Columbus,” and completely dominates the page, with 4 of the 5 top results.
